Curbside Pickup

Curbside trash, other than Household Garbage, should be placed at the curb by 7:00am on your designated pickup day or after 5:00pm on the day before. In the event that curbside trash cannot be placed at the curb on your designated day, please call City Hall (770-945-6761) for a special pickup or click on the link below for an online citizen service request. Curbside trash includes yard waste, tree limbs, and small junk items which may have accumulated in a garage or basement.

***No commercial or construction material is allowed for curbside pickup i.e. tree work, lawn maintenance, home repair/renovation.  Contract servce materials must be disposed of by the contractor or the owner.

Leaf Removal

The leaf vacuum machine is used from November 1 - March 31, all other times of the year leaves should be bagged and left at the street.  Grass clippings should be bagged and left at the street year round.
The leaf vacuum machine will follow the curbside trash pickup schedule.  During high volume leaf days, the leaf vacuum machine may be delayed. 

Limb/Brush Removal

Tree limbs and small trees should be neatly stacked at the curb and should be in a separate pile from brush and shrubbery.

The Sanitation department is responsible for the removal of household garbage. Every residential owner, agent or occupant in the city shall provide a container with a tight-fitting cover of such size as to be easily handled.  All garbage should be placed in plastic liners inside the container. The Sanitation department will remove the garbage on the designated day for each respective area in the city. Items not collected by the Sanitation department are: tires, batteries, paint cans, rocks, dirt, brick, carpet, or building materials.For information on disposal of these type materials, please go to www.gwinnettcb.org/ .

It shall be illegal and constitute a misdemeanor for any person who resides outside the city limits of the city to bring any type garbage or waste into the city for the purpose of dumping without obtaining a permit from the city.  Anyone caught bringing garbage or waste into the city shall be guilty of the violation of a city ordinance and shall be punished as such.
